Email. It's quick. It's convenient. And you don't have to worry
about whether the person is available or not. Telephones mean
dodging answering machines (and cellphones are worse - I really don't
want to interrupt someone while they're driving or doing something
interesting, but I have no way of knowing until after I interrupt;
very few people have the sense to turn off their cellphones at such
times). Snailmail takes forever. Blog comments? Give me a break...
In person is best when it can be arranged, but can be a pain to set
up.
Have the Yahoo client. Run it frequently, but only to notify me of
incoming email on my yahoo account. Rarely chat on it.
Nearby for now, but I'll be going far away before long.
