Cleaning and sharpening knives is always fun. Pouring chunky
salt in my cast iron pans and scraping the gunk out of them can be,
too.
As needed.
I don't think so... A former girlfriend used to make fun of me for
always cleaning my cast iron pans immediately after using them, but
that's just practicality, IMO. Don't want anything to get stuck on
well enough to de-season (or - heaven forbid! - rust) it, after all.
I also tend to wash (good) knives right away for similar reasons and
immediately wash cutting boards after getting raw meat on them to
keep microbeasties away, but these are just "odd" in that they don't
follow my usual pattern of letting things go for a bit before doing
them.
My big cast iron skillet. Cleaned it out after making breakfast this
morning.
