My Friday Five for October 3, 2003

1. What vehicle do you drive?
   Normally I drive a '92 Olds Toronado, but it's in the shop right now and they've given me an '87 Olds 88, which doesn't suit me nearly as well. (But at least it's better than the '89 Cutlass they originally gave me...)

2. How long have you had it?
   Four and a half years on the Toronado, since Tuesday for the 88.

3. What is the coolest feature on your vehicle?
   The info displays on the dash - I can have it tell me fuel efficiency, estimated range, time spent driving, ETA to destination, fuel consumed, etc. All kinds of neat stuff!

4. What is the most annoying thing about your vehicle?
   The board that controls the dash was getting less and less reliable over the last couple years and finally failed near-completely, taking out the speedometer, fuel gauge, and climate control along with the displays mentioned in the last answer. So I've been deprived of my car for nearly 2 weeks now (since the Monday before last) while the board has been sent to Canada for repairs. I hope to get it back early next week...

5. If money were no object, what vehicle would you be driving right now?
   *shrug* I dunno. Probably something custom-built.
