Clerical Overview

The big change here is that clerics don't have spells. Instead of Cast Spells, they develop the Faith ability. When divine assitance is desired, the cleric may pray for any desired miracle. Their Faith is then modified for various factors (keeping to cult strictures, whether the request fits the god's character, importance of need, number of recently-granted miracles, etc.) and a roll is then made against this modified Faith. If successful, the god responds in some fashion; depending on how well the roll is made, the response could range from a sign that the request was heard, but the cleric should handle the situation himself up to (if appropriate) world-shaking effects.

One other significant change resulting from this approach: Blessings may also take the form of a temporary increase to the character's Faith.
